It was only when I acknowledged and embraced my 'bisectuality' that I realized I could be both. I am invested in the UU theological tradition but prefer to worship with Friends. Perhaps down the road I will ask my Meeting if they are comfortable with the idea of joint membership. Or maybe, by that time, I won't need one. But until then, being both UU and Quaker suits me fine. For me, an either/or decision (UU or Friend) kept me from fully participating in either community.
